In April 2010 the new framework agreement between health professionals and health insurance is at force. It is regulated that patients can receive up to 90 days of medical care at home. A novelty is that the recommendation can be done by family physicians. Although, this is a new possibility for delivering palliative care, the number of institution which apply for this possibility, is limited.
