Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in HIV-infected patients

Abstract

Compared with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the general population, HIV infected patients have high rates of stage IV disease with B symptoms and sparse node involvement. Diagnosis is made by biopsy, usually required. Initial response rates are 50-60%, but long term prognosis is poor with median survival

Palliative care is important for the patients with chemotherapy. Pain, anxiety, sleep disorders are frequent found in these patients.
