Coronavirus: helping the bereaved with personal protective equipment (PPE), physically and emotionally

NHS England’s medical director, Stephen Powis, stated: “If we can keep deaths below 20,000, we will have done very well in this epidemic.” But there was more to do as various articles, published in various countries about shortage of PPE for patients in nursing homes and palliative care institutions, shows. The International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) has compiled a list of resources relevant to palliative care and COVID-19 published by academia, civil society organizations, member states and special agencies of the United Nations, with links to all of the websites and documents listed.
